Instructor Orientation: Change the Home Page Layout
By default, when you access your course, the Home page will display 'the Course Modules/Sections'. This is the typical Home page layout for courses provided by Connect 4 Education.
The default layout can, however, be edited if you choose. To view the different Home page options available, select the Change Home Page Layout link on the top right corner of the page.

From the Set Home Page Layout screen, select the page layout you would like and click the Update Layout button.
The page layout options to select from are as follows:
- The Recent Activity Dashboard: Allows participants to see the most recent course activity such as announcements and notifications. It is similar to the dashboard page that appears when users first log into the course site, but this screen will only shows details for the specific course you are in.
- A Page I'll Design Myself: Allows instructors to design a course homepage and includes links, images or other media.
- The Course Modules/Sections:This is the DEFAULT setting which organizes the course into modules or sections. This option is advised for courses that aren't based on a specific schedule like a term or semester.
- The Assignments List: Displays the list of assignments for the course with upcoming and recent assignments at the top of the page.
- The Assignments with Syllabus: Instructors may write up a description of course expectations or introduce the course with links, images, etc. This page will display a calendar view of all assignments and course events.
