Instructor Orientation: View Quiz/Exam Statistics

You can view statistics for quizzes and exams that have been published.


Please Note: Statistics will not be available until at least one student has completed the quiz/exam.

  1. Click the Quizzes link on the Course Navigation menu.

  2. Click the name of the quiz you would like to open.

  3. Click the Quiz Statistics link on the Sidebar.

The following screen will display:

Quiz Statistics Settings

  1. View the class distribution of each question. Consistently unanswered questions or the high ratio of wrong answers (to determine question validity) will be highlighted.
  2. View quiz data such as the mean and standard deviation, time to take the assessment, and graphical representations of all student responses so student performance in order to easily interpret results.
  3. Generate a Student Analysis or Item Analysis report (in a .csv file format) to view all student attempts in the statistics for each quiz question. Once you click on the Generate Student or Item Analysis button you will be given the option to download the file.

Statistic Limitations:

Item analysis may not generate results within specific quizzes. Here are a few limitations to consider within the analysis reports:
